Experience the Timeless Beauty of Dhrupad Music

Dhrupad performance by the Padmashree Gundecha Brothers

Dhrupad, one of the oldest forms of Indian classical music, is a meditative art form that evokes a sense of tranquility and reflection. Its name reflects this peaceful essence, combining “Dhruva,” the steadfast evening star, with “Pada,” meaning poetry. Rooted in the ancient sacred text of Sam Veda, Dhrupad has preserved its original form and purity, emphasizing the precise expression of melodic modes (Ragas) and notes (Swaras).

Join us for an enchanting evening with renowned Dhrupad masters Padmashree Pandit Umakant Gundecha and Shri Anant Gundecha. They will be accompanied by the rhythmic expertise of Shri Akhilesh Gundecha on the Pakhawaj drum.

The Folk Flavor

Padmashree Manganiyar Ustad Anwar Khan from the colorful land of Rajasthan, India, will accompany the Gundecha Brothers!
